What does “ZemedelCo” mean?
ZemedelCo takes “Zemedel-” from the Bulgarian word земеделие (agriculture) and adds “Co” as in your companion and partner. We chose the name because that is exactly what we want to be for the Bulgarian farmer: a friendly, approachable helper who is always there for the everyday work with subsidies and programmes.
Our mission
Agriculture programmes in Bulgaria often feel complicated — heavy language, scattered information, tight deadlines, and piles of documents for the simplest questions. ZemedelCo makes this information accessible and understandable: you ask a question in plain language and receive a clear, structured answer about eligibility, deadlines, required documents, and application steps.
What ZemedelCo can do
The assistant answers everyday questions from a farm's life — direct payments and the ISAK campaign, eco-schemes, coupled support, the “Young Farmer” and “Small Farms” measures, farm investments, organic production, farmer registration, animal welfare, and calls under the Rural Development Programme. You can upload a document or guideline and get its conditions and requirements explained. Cooperatives and producer groups can use company accounts with a shared token pool and per-member spending controls.
What ZemedelCo is NOT
ZemedelCo is an information tool, not an official consultation. The answers do not replace advice from an agronomist or consultant, nor a submission to the State Fund Agriculture (DFZ). For high-value applications, disputed cases, or complex procedures, always verify with an expert or the relevant office — ZemedelCo will help you arrive prepared.
