Under Ordinance No. 12 of 23 August 2023, every farmer and professional user of plant protection products must keep a journal of treatments and fertilisation in the official BFSA format: date and area, product and dose, target pest, withhold period, fertiliser applications. BFSA inspectors ask for it, and compliance feeds into subsidy conditionality.
Digitalisation is already written into the framework (the EU SAIO regulation moves records to fully electronic form, integrated with the national notification platform), so the paper notebook has an expiry date. In Zemedelko an entry takes a minute from the phone, the system warns about nitrate-vulnerable zones, and the whole journal exports to Word in the official format in seconds.
